Tadpole progress week 7

They have gone, we have said our goodbyes and all of the froglets have been returned to their home pond.


Little Miss is looking forward to next year and having more of them to look after.

Tadpole progress week 6

Well the warm weather has certainly helped these little fellows.

They are growing very quickly now. We have had to put a lid on the top of the tank as they have started to try and jump out.

Looks like they will be heading back to their little pond soon.

Little Miss will definitely miss them.

Oh they are getting bigger by the day and little legs are getting stronger.

It is funny watching the tadpoles dash madly around the tank.

Wow they are getting a lot bigger. They are enjoying eating the lettuce that Little Miss has been feeding them daily.

Squeals of excitement the other morning from Little Miss.

Mummy we have tadpoles now.


Yes they have started to hatch and we have about 30 so far in the tank!!

New additions to the family

We were very kindly given some frog spawn over the weekend.

Little Miss now can't wait until these turn into tadpoles and then froglets. She is very happy to come down in the morning and chat to the frog spawn, and she has named a number of them already. But I am sure that she thinks they will be fully grown frogs by the end of the week!
