Crafting away like mad

Well that's what I felt like last week!

At last I have done it my first craft stall. Yes last Saturday I was in the middle of a field at Little Miss school selling various things I have been making over the last few months.

Domino magnets (very popular with the boys).

Tea cup candles, cupcake stands, magnets and notecards.

Soaps, bracelets and bookmarks.

Trinket shelves and more magnets.

These shelves were very popular, they are great for children as they can put their collection of erasers, Lego figures etc on them.

I had a wonderful day and learnt a valuable lesson. Craft stalls in a field are a nightmare if the wind is blowing!

I can't wait to do my next one.

Summer Swap

I took part in the lovely Bekis Summer Swap.

I was paired up with Christals Creations

These are the gorgeous items I received in the post, and she also popped in a little something special for my Little Miss.

Thank you so much.

I hope you enjoyed your parcel as much as we enjoyed yours.

May Roundup

I have found a few photos from May that I have not included in my blog. But I have decided I do want to include them.

I spotted this post Happy little hooker & other new skills! by Vintage Vicki.

She was saying about mosaic photo programmes which are great, but that Picnik is limiting unless you pay. I have loved playing around with Picnik but I have now been converted to this company. Thank you Vicki.

Here is what I have created from my little play on their site.

Breakfast using leftovers from dinner and a couple of eggs. Little Miss came back for thirds of this.

Banana Loaf, new recipe was very yummy.

Coronation beaker from Ebay. I wish people would wrap things up properly then they wouldn't end up damaged when they arrive!

Pretty cupcakes.

Charity find set of lovely tea plates.

Another batch of cupcakes before decorating.

Cup cake decorated by Littke Miss.

I picked this picture frame up a couple of months ago at a local jumble sale. Then just painted it up and put in a piece of lovely wallpaper.

Little shelves to be painted up and decorated one for me and one for Little Miss. These are to keep odd trinkets in.

Another little shelf to be decorated.

New special cup and spoon, perfect for hot chocolate.

Plate of delicious strawberries.

Flowers sitting on my desk at work, picked by Little Miss to make my desk pretty.

Painted Little Frames

I got these two little frames from Poundland the other week. I thought that they would look so much better painted up.

And they certainly did see Believe You Can and What I Love Most About My Home.

With a great little make on the front.

Also free magazine with some gorgeous recipes in.

Catch up time

So loving this gorgeous weather we are having at the moment.

Catch up from the last week.

Last Sunday, early start and visit to a local car boot sale. Now it is very hard to resist getting bookcases and tables when they are so cheap at car boot sales. I have the perfect solution...go by bus.

These are the bargains I found.

Little Miss got these items and as soon as she got home out came the dolls to play on the new horse.

This was my absolute bargain of the day, so happy with this.

Back home and was time for baking.

Bargain flowers at the end of the day from the super market.

A quick make for one of Little Miss's teaching assistants.

Cake stand

Last Saturday I went on a fabulous course at Oak Studio in Hampstead. It was a how to make a vintage plate cake stand.

The course was run by the fantastic Monica. She showed us all how to drill the holes and assemble the cake stands.

Here is my end result.

Oh I want to make some more it was great fun doing this. Also I thoroughly enjoyed learning something new.

Subway art teacher notice/inspiration

Found this and thought it was a lovely piece of subway art.

The frame was a hideous gold thing from 99p shop. Painted it in matt white paint and it looks so much more.

If you go to eighteen25 you can get the free download of the picture.

Pretty Bracelets

Well a little make this week.

Take some old jewellery charms and add them to pretty Primark bracelets. What do you end up with bracelets that you loose straight away to your daughter!
