Mothers day flowers

I'm a bit late with this but just had to include it. 


Mothers day arrived in a lovely way. Breakfast in bed for me by my Little Miss. Lovely little squirrel ornament who is now sitting on my trinket shelf and beautiful flowers.

May Roundup

I have found a few photos from May that I have not included in my blog. But I have decided I do want to include them. 

I spotted this post Happy little hooker & other new skills! by Vintage Vicki.

She was saying about mosaic photo programmes which are great, but that Picnik is limiting unless you pay. I have loved playing around with Picnik but I have now been converted to this company. Thank you Vicki.

Here is what I have created from my little play on their site. 

Breakfast using leftovers from dinner and a couple of eggs. Little Miss came back for thirds of this.

Banana Loaf, new recipe was very yummy.

Coronation beaker from Ebay. I wish people would wrap things up properly then they wouldn't end up damaged when they arrive!

I picked this picture frame up a couple of months ago at a local jumble sale. Then just painted it up and put in a piece of lovely wallpaper.

Little shelves to be painted up and decorated one for me and one for Little Miss. These are to keep odd trinkets in.

A quick catch up of the last week.

Fresh salad leaves growing.

Unwanted, finished with games/DVD's being sent off for voucher to spend on more games.

More playing (the colour patches on the wall are not that colour!!!).

Pretty Spring Flowers

Visited a very special Aunt last weekend. Went for a lovely walk around her village and spied these gorgeous flowers.

Ended up sitting in the middle of a buttercup field reading my book. What a peaceful and relaxing day.

Catch up time

So loving this gorgeous weather we are having at the moment.


Catch up from the last week.


Last Sunday, early start and visit to a local car boot sale. Now it is very hard to resist getting bookcases and tables when they are so cheap at car boot sales. I have the perfect solution...go by bus.


These are the bargains I found. 

Little Miss got these items and as soon as she got home out came the dolls to play on the new horse.

This was my absolute bargain of the day, so happy with this.

Back home and was time for baking.

Bargain flowers at the end of the day from the super market.

A quick make for one of Little Miss's teaching assistants.

Pretty Flowers

Pretty flowers around the house. Loving these gorgeous flowers.

Daffodils bring sunshine into the place, in an old teapot found in the charity shop 10p box.

Hyacinths bringing a beautiful springtime scent into the room.
